Происшествия: Пожарные приняли роды прямо на парковке

A special Christmas Eve rush delivery came when a mom felt labor pains in a Circle K parking lot, and her baby boy was eager to celebrate the holidays Thursday night.

Unlike many people all across SoCal who didn't receive packages on time from FedEx, one couple's child just couldn't wait to arrive despite the fact that mommy was still in a Circle K parking lot.

Cal Fire and the Riverside Fire Department received a report of a woman in labor at Cactus Avenue and Elsworth Street in Moreno Valley around 3:50 p.m.

Daniella Camacho, the baby boy's mother, wasn't due for another month.

Her husband Robert was rushing her to the hospital, but the baby boy couldn't wait to be born.

"My wife couldn't wait, so I pulled over to the side, and by the time I got to the other side of the car, the baby's head was out," Robert said. "Then the whole baby came out."

Once firefighters arrived, they helped deliver the baby boy safely.

"The baby wasn't moving that much, and it was purple," Capt. Ryan Martel, who assisted with the birth, said. "We were a little concerned at first, so we suctioned the airway and immediately did warming measures."

The father of the boy got to cut the cord right in the parking lot.

The mother and child were taken to the hospital, where they were given a clean bill of health.
