Time in Los Angeles

The Central time zone includes the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana (part of the state), Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky (the western part of the state), Louisiana, Michigan (part of the state), Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota (eastern part of the state), Tennessee (the western part of the state), Texas (the main part of the state), and Wisconsin (Wisconsin).

The Eastern time zone (Eastern Standard Time) is 4:00 PM or minus 5 hours from Greenwich Time (GMT-5) the following states are located: Connecticut, Columbia (District of Columbia), Delaware, Florida (main part of the state), Georgia, Indiana (the main part of the state), Kentucky (eastern part of the state), Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan (the main part of the state), New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee (eastern part of the state), Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia (West Virginia).

In addition to the four main time zones in America there are two time zones that cover the territory of Alaska and Hawaii.

Time in Alaska (Alaska Standard time) is 12:00 AM or minus 9 hours from Greenwich Time (GMT-9).

Time in Hawaii and Alutelyan (Hawaii Standard Time and AleutianStandard Time) is 11:00 AM or minus 10 hours from Greenwich Time (GMT-10).
