Concerning USA.one’s blockage by Roskomnadzor
Russia’s Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has recently added USA.one domain — that belongs to an online news resource «American News in Russian» — to its registry of forbidden sites. USA.one is being blocked in the Russian Federation, Russian citizens can not access the website. Roskomnadzor has not replied to our request to comment.
Our team is currently working on renewing access to the website for our readers from Russia.
USA.one is an international and independent news resource, that specializes in the news of the United States for its Russian-speaking citizens and citizens of other countries, interested in life in the US. USA.one is strongly devoted to the principles of democracy and free press. We consider the website’s blockage another attack on the independent and free press by Russia’s government.
