A Long Island man faces a slate of charges accusing him of calling police emergency phone lines about 60 times in less than two hours to berate dispatchers and threaten officers.
Michael Ballard, 55, of North Haven, repeatedly called the Southampton Town Police emergency lines on Saturday night and harassed the dispatcher, according to a police spokesman, who didn't elaborate on what was said during the calls.
Ballard was arraigned Sunday morning on misdemeanor charges of obstructing governmental administration, aggravated harassment, resisting arrest and harassment, the spokesman said.
There was no indication he had obtained a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
